Grandparents and Special Friends Day-October – WHAT TO EXPECT

DCP is so excited to see everyone this afternoon for our first annual Grandparents and Special Friends Day!
-This is an open house style event, families can come and go anytime during 4-6pm.
-Parents are encouraged to get their children settled with their grandparents and special friends, and then gather at Novo Coffee to enjoy some beer, wine, or coffee. Novo will be donating 15% of all sales between 4-6pm back to the school.
-The weather is expected to be cool. Short of rain, we are planning to have some activities set-up outside.
-The teachers will have activities set out in each classroom for the children to enjoy with their grandparents and special friends. Feel free to visit all of the classrooms while you are at the school!
-Bloom Photography will be at the event to take individual photos of the children with their visitors. Be sure to stop by for a special photo to commemorate the day! Bloom is planning to set-up outside, weather permitting.
Ice cream and dairy-free sorbet from Bonnie Brae is available to enjoy. Ice cream will be in the basement but you are welcome to enjoy it outside on the playground while you play.
-We will have hot chocolate available outside on the playground.
-Ms. Anne will have a table set up outside for the children to enjoy an art experience with their visitors

Food Drive
DCP is partnering with the Community of Christ Church to help deliver backpacks full of nonperishable food items to students in need at Village East Elementary School in Littleton. You can support this by bringing in non-perishable food items (cash donations also accepted) to DCP throughout the school year.  We hope that the efforts of our DCP community will allow an additional 20 families at Village East Elementary experience more food security.

UPDATE-Atomic Cowboy Dine Out-October 4
Big thanks to our friends at Atomic Cowboy and all the families that came out for the Dine Out event on October 4th.  We were able to raise over $2,000 from the DCP families and friends who participated.
