Where did you grow up?:  Cincinnati, Ohio

How long have you been working with children/teaching?:  About ten years, six at DCP

What led you to a career in education?:   I love children and learning

What is your favorite thing about working at DCP?:  I believe strongly in play based

education.  The fact that this gets to be the core of how we approach learning, is magical.  I love being a part of that!

What is your favorite thing to do in the classroom?:  share music and play

What are your hobbies or passions outside of DCP?:  Cooking, hiking with my boys and my dogs

Where can we find you in Denver (favorite spots/hangouts/places to visit):  Denver Center Theatre Company, City Park, Vine Street Pub, St. Ignatius Loyola Church, my backyard!

Tell us about your family:  I have two sons who are both DCP alumni.  Finnegan is 11 and starting middle school this year at the Denver boys school.  Kaelen is almost 9 and will be a 4th grader at Teller elementary.  I also have two dogs.  Daisy and Miss Minnie Pearl.  They are all the light of my life!

What did you want to be when you grew up?:  a singer

What do you remember most about being a young child?:  I remember playing pretend a lot and playing outside!!

What was your favorite thing to do as a child?:  play in the creek and climb trees

Anything else you want to add about yourself:  It is my sincere honor to help with the development of so many young persons at DCP.   I love this community and staff and feel so happy to be returning for another year!
