Every year, DCP enrolls students through our admissions lottery. Anyone wishing to enroll in the school for the following school year must participate in the lottery. Current students are guaranteed placement, and participate in the lottery to determine their schedule. Alumni and new families participate in the lottery for placement. Lottery fees are nonrefundable, and a lottery application for the next school year must be completed for each student (including twins).

For the 2024-25 school year, lottery applications will be available online on our website beginning at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Lottery applications will be available through 5:00 PM on Friday, January 26, 2024. Lottery applications may be completed at any time during that window. The exact time the form is submitted has no bearing on your placement in the lottery, only that it is submitted within the open dates (i.e. the lottery is NOT first-come, first-served). On each application, you will have the opportunity to indicate your first, second, and third choice of classes.

Your application is then put into a pool of applications for each of the classes you selected. All applications are randomly assigned a number which determines the order of final class rosters and waitlists.

Enrollment preference is given in the following order of status:

  1. Current families/Staff Children

  2. Siblings of Current Students

  3. Children of Alumni/Alumni Families (This means, past DCP students, their siblings, or the children of past DCP students)

  4. Church members

  5. New families

The status of your application (placement in a class or waitlist) will be confirmed when lottery results are posted. For the 2024-25 school year, we will post lottery results on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 5:00 PM. Students who are not placed in a class are automatically put on a waitlist for all classes they selected. This process starts over each school year. Waitlists are not carried over from year-to-year. You must reapply each year.

Families who miss the lottery or are interested in enrolling after the lottery has closed may initiate the admissions process by joining our waitlist.


If you are offered a spot through the Lottery or from a Waitlist, you need to confirm your enrollment to secure the spot and then complete all other required paperwork and deposits for your child to attend school. See the detailed enrollment process here.
