Hello!
My name is Ari and I have loved being a part of the DCP community this year! As a preschool teacher, I work to empower the limitless scope of a child’s vision for their learning. I am guided by children’s instinct for discovery and exploration; I love to encourage kids’ big ideas by offering a towel for spilled paint, or fulfilling the request of a hand for balance. When we follow the children's lead, magic happens.
I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and earned both my Bachelor’s (B.S. in Human Development and Psychological Services) and Master’s (MS.Ed in Elementary Education) degrees from Northwestern University in Chicago. I taught at a public elementary school there for three years before moving to Colorado in 2021, and I have spent the last two years teaching at a private preschool in Denver.
My early work experiences with kids were as a summer camp counselor for preschoolers, and adventure and play have always been at the core of my work as an educator. I am happiest outdoors, walking with my dog Vida in Cheesman Park, hiking in the mountains, or reading a good book and drinking some iced tea in the sunshine. Colorado has been good to me!
