Michaela Stephens
Associate Educator - 3 day Young Preschool
Michaela joined the DCP community in 2023 as the associate educator in the younger preschool classroom. She grew up in Michigan, and holds a BA from the University of Michigan in English Literature and Creative Writing. After college she spent a year teaching English to elementary and middle school kids in rural Japan, and has also worked with young children as a tutor, camp counselor, and nanny. In her free time she enjoys playing board games with friends, hiking, reading, and attending electronic music shows. Michaela believes imagination and silliness are two of the greatest tools for learning we possess, and she is overjoyed to be part of a community that encourages her to emphasize these values in her teaching.
